Seen from a glider from the Bicester Gliding Centre. I used to spend many happy days watching the F-111E's of the 20th TFW when they were based at Heyford. The station was opened in Jul 1918 closed in 1920 but reopened again for flying in 1927. In 1950 the USAF moved in. Flying ceased on 15 Dec 1993.
