Former RAF XR505. Flown by his majesty, King Charles III back when he was in the RAF. Story tells it that when Prince Charles visited Uruguay in 1999 he visited the Naval aviation base in Laguna del Sauce, and when he saw this helicopter, he began looking for the number plate. When he found it, he told the officers he had flown this helicopter. This is not only the last Wessex to operate for the Uruguayan navy, but the last one to operate in the world. Since it was withdrawn from use, it has been preserved in the hangar as it was.
