In 1970, Józef Gorszczyński started building, based on French documentation, an amateur aircraft Croses EC-3 Pouplume. Undertaking such a construction in Poland at that time was an incredible challenge. The airplane was completed in 1975 and the first flight with the engine took place in 1977. The aircraft was registered in 1978 as SP-0023, then in 1984 as SP-FGA. Pouplume is a very unusual plane and it has unusual controls - it has no elevator (it is controlled by deflecting up or down one of the wings) and ailerons (it is not possible to directly control the tilt of the plane).
