VH-JPT came to Australia in 1984 from New Zealand where it had been registered ZK-CIB. It was built as a PA23-235 and registered in both countries as a PA23-235. It acquired the "Pawnee 250" titles before leaving New Zealand but nothing can be found about an engine upgrade. -JPT was destroyed near Burra, South Australia, on September 26, 1986. It had suffered a landing mishap on a rough farm strip and was consumed by fire after the pilot had vacated the cockpit.
