Initially built for Trans America Aeronautical its first registration was N8465H with General Dynamics. It was delivered to REAL the 5 November 1956 and later merged in VARIG in August 1961. Iberia bought it the 14 April 1962 taking the temporary registration EC-WRS for one month before going to EC-ARS. The Spanish airline leased it to LAGE - Líneas Aéreas de Guinea Ecuatorial from 1970.
