Ditched in Tyrrhenian Sea 26kms NE of Palermo on 6 August 2005 enroute from Bari-Palese Airport to Djerba-Melita Airport when it ran out of fuel; 39 persons on board (4 crew + 35); 16 fatalities; on 5 August 2005 the wrong FQI (Fuel Quantity Indicator) - one intended to the ATR42 - had been installed during maintenance, leading crew to believe that they had far more than the actual amount.
