Milex 2022 is the final course for Merlin pilots and crew. When they pass this course, they will be ready to join an operational Merlin squadron. For this exercise, 846 Naval Air Squadron operates from Royal Marine Base Condor, Arbroath. This is one of three Merlins taking part in the exercise. The Merlin HC4 is an upgraded Merlin HC3, easily recognisable with the folding tail and the new nose.
