The NL-16 (Yugoslav Air Force designation of the MiG-21UM) was in service from 1977. Serial 16158 served first with the Yugoslav Air Force, and continued with the Serbia-Montenegro Air Force from 1992. After the end of its service life it was brought to the storage area of the Muzej Vazduhoplovstva Beograd where it was first noted in Jun-1997.
