The real G-AUDJ (cn 6118) was registered in Australia in November 1921 (before the VH- prefix was adopted), and crashed on 11 Sep 1928 near Pine Creek, NT. replica VH-UDR was built for a TV series titled A Thousand Skies about the life of aviator Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and was registered in March 1985. It was withdrawn from use in 1986 and converted to a Bristol F2B Fighter replica. With the serial C-4623 it is displayed at the Australian Army Flying Museum at Oakey, Queensland.
