The Jodel D9 was a single seat, open cockpit sport plane that first flew in 1947 in France and plans were distributed to allow amateurs to build the plane. In Germany and Austria this was at first not permitted but in 1958 this was officially allowed. In total some 500 D9s were produced and the D117 was a two-seat development. This plane on display made its last flight in June 2007. This photo is copyright © Alastair T. Gardiner, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
