Honduras received 21 Super Mystère B2s from Israel between 1976 and 1978 and the type equipped the Escuadrón de Caza at La Ceiba (Base Aérea Coronel Héctor Caracolí Moncada). By 1992 there were just six remaining operational and the type was withdrawn in January 1996. Survivors were placed into storage. A plan to refurbish and re-activate six aircraft in 1997 was halted due to lack of adequate funding. At least seven remain stored in poor condition at La Ceiba in 2021 with a further two preserved on the base.
