This 71-0323 crashed on 19 Nov'91. The A-7D was written off under unknown circumstances, the pilot was killed on the scene. The Michigan ANG was using the A-7D with the 107th Tactical Fighter squadron. In its final months within the unit, these pictures were made. The 107th operated many aircraft types since its establishment in 1927. The A-7 replaced the F-100D Super Sabre in 1979. They operated the Corsair up to 1989 after which they replaced it with the F-16. That one was assigned to the squadron up to 2008 and replaced by the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Check the two 171st FIS F-4Ds in take-off.
