A Corsair packed flight line, with 004 leaving its parking spot for a training bombardment flight, hence the little blue training bombs underneath the pylons. The 162nd Tactical Fighter Squadron converted from F-100D to A-7D from January 1978. In May 1993 the 162nd hosted a farewell to the A-7D, Corsair II and transitioned to F-16C/D. At the time of my visit, only a few A-7s were painted in the new grey camouglage jacket.
