The Aéro Club Hispano-Suiza was established in the mid-1930s by employees of the French branch of the Hispano-Suiza automobile and aero engine factory. The Hispano-Suiza stork was inspired by French ace Georges Guynemer and is thus similar to that used by Escadron de Chasse 1/2 'Cigognes'.
