The Aviocar prototype made its first flight on 26 march 1971 and was delivered to the Spanish Ejército del Aire three years later. Then it kept operational with CLAEX (Centro Logísitico de Armamento y Experimentación) until its retirement at the Museo del Aire at Cuatro Vientos.
