After many years slowly deteriorating outside, this important exhibit is seen here undergoing restoration. In 1944 twelve Dutch-built Do 24s were delivered to Spain on the understanding they would be used to aid downed airmen of both sides. They operated till 1969; among the survivors, one example now flies as the turboprop-powered Do 24 ATT conversion. The aircraft in this photo is often quoted as cn 5341, but that is only its fuselage number. In fact it is Dornier Werknummer 3406.
