The airline was founded in 2009 with the intention of providing scheduled services out of Carlsbad CA. N760CP was delivered in October 2012. Due to difficulties with the certification process the start up was delayed (and remained so until 2018)! However, by October 2013 N760CP was seen stored in Kingman AZ. In April 2015 it was seen stored in Nashville TN. In December 2017 it finally found a new home in South Africa with Airlink as ZS-YBC. California Pacific eventually began scheduled services in November 2018 with Embraer 145s, and ceased all operations in January 2019!
