The De Schelde shipyard in Vlissingen (Flushing) took over the aircraft building branch of the Pander furniture factory, and in 1935 Theo Slot designed the Scheldemusch (Scheldt Sparrow) light single-seat sport aircraft. It flew well but the six examples built remained unsold. In June 1937 this one was demonstrated to the military at Soesterberg who were interested mainly in the triciycle landing gear.
