Heavily modified T-6 Texan. Blown canopy, tri-gear undercarriage, shortened wing with tip tanks and updated cockpit. Bacon hoped to sell to air forces with fleets of T-6s but there was no interest. Sole aircraft sold to a civilian buyer, its Soviet markings were applied for a film role. Withdrawn from use at Whiteman in 1981. Registration cancelled in 2013. Still visible on Google Earth in November 2018. This photo is copyright © Geoff Goodall, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
