Practising a few touch & go's on this frosty morning at this lesser known strip in the mountains to the East of Reykjavik. Even at this relatively late time of the day (early afternoon), the sun was still behind the mountains.

I heard the sound of a helicopter for a good couple of seconds, but I couldn't see it. When I did, it was buzzing the hangars of Sandskeið low and fast, before pulling up and continuing to the city.
