She was damaged during one NULLO flight over the WSMR on Nov 19th, 2014, when a AIM-9X hit her, but bounced off, ripping of the right hand horizontal stabilizer. The controller managed to land her safely on the alternate NASA Space Shuttle runway. She was towed back to Holloman AFB, where she was used as a spare.

QF-4E 72-0166 flew the final unmanned mission in the skies over the White Sands Missile Range, NM on August 17, 2016. During this mission 2 AMRAAM AIM-120s were shot at her by a F-35 Lighting II. The test was described as successfull, and luckily 72-0166 returned home safely. After ceasing the QF-4 FSAT operations in December 2016, she ended up as an air-to-ground target at the WSMR

72-0162 belonged to the USAF Heritage Flight. She was painted as SCAT XXVII in honor of Robin Olds. After ceasing QF-4 FSAT operations, she became an air-to-ground target at the WSMR, NM

on of the 13 QF-4 FSAT Phinal Phantoms in service with the 82 ATRS / Det 1. On December 20, 2016 the USAF ceased operating the F-4 Phantom II as FSAT.
