Delivered new to the USAF in September 1953 as L-20A, (U-6A from 1962), 52-6146 and during its military career it served in the UK at USAF bases at Wethersfield, Chelveston and Mildenhall plus Chaumont and Phalsbourg in France. Retired to MASDC at Tucson in March 1972 it was civilianised as N67691 in February 1976. On 28th December 1989, after taking off from a rough sea in Raspberry Straight, Kodiak Island, AK., the aircraft pitched down, crashed and rolled over. The registration has been renewed several times since, the latest in May 2022, so a rebuild may be underway.
