George AFB Airshow 1978. Owned by the WGAF this F-104 was operated by the 69th TFTS - 58th TFTW of the USAF based at Luke AFB, AZ. German F-104 training was done in Arizona where the weather was better than in Western Europe. This aircraft was built by Lockheed in 1961. Carried WGAF serials KF+102, DA+321, BG+122 and 20+21. Transferred to the USAF as 63-13243 in 1963. In 1982 the aircraft starred in the movie 'The Right Stuff'. Sold to the USAF on 19 Jul 1983. Later transferred to the Republic of China Air Force as 4368. Crashed in a fatal accident on 24 Mar 1990 in a collision with 4385.
