This Super Puma was taken on charge on 20 January 1984 and belonged to the Search and Rescue flight of 802 Esc, based at Gran Canaria. The helicopter is seen here while receiving some maintenance. HD.21-1 was written off on 19 March 2014 after it crashed in Canary waters between Fuerteventura and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, one crew survived, while four other were killed. The Super Puma rests since in just over two thousand (2,000) feet deep waters.
