Lady MacRobert lost two sons on active service with the RAF in WWII, one flying a Hurricane in the Middle East and the other in a Blenheim. She donated a Stirling and four Hurricanes to the war effort. The Stirling flew with XV Sqn as the defiant "MacRobert's Reply", a name continued on the unit's Tornados. After XV Sqn disbanded at RAF Lossiemouth in 2017, the based No 6 Sqn picked up the baton to keep the memory of the MacRobert contribution alive on one of their Typhoons.

Some maintenance is in progress on the relatively recent arrival. Began its career in 1952 as CF-GCW, delivered to Laurentian Air Services. Subsequently served with a number of operators in the Quebec area, latterly as C-FGCW, until late 2002 when it was exported to Anchorage as N918SL, registered to Scott L. Laudon.

Approaching Runway 23 at Glasgow on an evening service from Amsterdam. Delivered new to British Midland Airways in 1995 as G-BVTG. Served with KLM Cityhopper from 2002 until put into storage in 2016. By 2018 had re-emerged as P2-ANY of Air Niugini.

On final approach to Runway 23 at Glasgow. Converted to cargo configuration in 2022 at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, China. Re-entered service in 2023 as B-223C of SF Airlines.

Put into storage in 2020. Re-emerged in 2022 as 4L-TBA with Tiblisi Airways, but put into storage again in 2023.

Moored at its base on Lake Hood, with the International Airport's control tower overlooking the scene. Carries the logo of Bush Pilots Air Service on its tail fin. Delivered new to the US Army in 1952 as L-20A 51-16834. Sold on from military service in 1976. Previous civil registrations include N9303Z, N505LM and N114GH. Later reverted to N114GH and was operating with Sea Air Ventures LLC of Anchorage in 2024.

About to land on Runway 31 at Prestwick. Delivered new to Cargolux in 2008. Transferred to Cargolux Italia in 2013.
