A maintenance visitor to the ATEL facilities at Stansted. No prizes for guessing that this was an ex-Air Canada machine, formerly C-FTJT. It was converted to a freighter soon after this and passed through the hands of several operators, finishing up with Kittyhawk International and by then registered as N812CK. It was retired in April 2000 at Oscoda, Michigan and later scrapped.

Originally delivered to Eastern Airlines (N8771), this DC-8 is pictured during it's ten years operating with Air Jamaica (1973 - 83). There followed a (too) long list of leases with registrations N914CL, TF-VLW, C-GMXD, 5N-HAS and N914BV all before it was converted to a freighter in 1994. Bought by AeroParts in June 1998, it was scrapped the following month and the registration finally cancelled in 2012.

May 2nd 1976 leased to Capitol International Airways, renamed Captiol Air in Dec. 1981. December 25th 1982 N8763 returned to Lessor and stored at Marana in full Capitol cs. May 1st 1983 N8763 ONA-Overerseas National Airways, Dec 1983 National Airlines, and Oct 1983 Airlinft International, still N8763. Oct27th 1984 EC-DVB Spantax.. Delivered new to United as N8078U on 14 Mar 1968. Converted to a DC-8-71 in Jun 1982. To Aero USA on 17 Jan 1991 and converted to a freighter. To Burlington as N824BX on 22 Feb 1993. To BAX Global in Oct 1997. To Emery Worldwide by 2001. Stored at ROW and not noted after Oct 2005. Cancelled on 16 May 2006.

Delivered to United Ailines as N8081U in 1967. Converted to a DC-8-71 in 1983. Converted to a DC-8-71(F) freighter in 1991 then to Time Air Sweden as SE-DLM in 1992. To Burlington Air Express as N827BX in 1993 who were renamed to BAX Global in 1997. Withdrawn from use at Roswell, NM in 2002 and later scrapped.

Delivered to United Ailines as N8077U in 1968. Converted to a DC-8-71 in 1983. Converted to a DC-8-71(F) freighter for Jet Fret as F-GNFM in 1982. To Cargosur as EC-529 in 1993 then reregistered as EC-FVA in 1994. They merged into Iberia in 1995. To Aero USA as N945GE in 1998 then to TAMPA Colombia as HK-4176X in 1999. Changed to HK-4176 by 2005. Withdrawn from use at Marana, AZ and back to N945GE which may not have been applied in 2006 and later scrapped.

Delivered to United Airlines as N8074U in 1967. Converted to a DC-8-71 in 1983. Sold in 1990 and converted to a DC-8-71(F) freighter. Leased to Flagship Express then to American International Airlines in 1991. To Tampa Colombia as HK-3786X in 1992. Sold as N849AL in 2004 and stored at Roswell, NM. Scrapped in 2005.

This DC-8 was with Air Canada from October 1967 to October 1982. Sold to a leasing company as N21UA, it operated for Eagle Air (and sub lease to Air Algérie) as well as CTA Canafrica Transportes Aereos. Converted to a freighter in 1989, it flew five years with Air Transport International until sold to ABX Air as N849AX in 1994. The aircraft was withdrawn in 2003 and later scrapped.

Delivered to United Airlines as N8091U in 1968. Converted to a DC-8-71 in 1983. To Translift as EI-TLC in 1992. Returned to the lessor as N8091U in 1984 and converted to a DC-8-71(F) then to Emery Worldwide Airlines in 1985. Withdrawn from use at Roswell, NM in 2002 and scrapped in 2006.

Noted being broken up at Greensboro 21 Oct 2002. PWFU 19 Nov 2002.
