This third Dash 7 was used by the manufacturer for testing and certification flying from May 1977 to May 1978 as C-GQIW-X before delivery to Spantax as EC-DCB. Returned to DHC in May 1981, the aircraft was leased by Air BC in July 1981 as they rapidly expanded their IFR operations. It was returned to De Havilland in April 1989 as the airline was adding the BAe-146 to the fleet. Stored at Las Vegas, it was damaged in a hangar fire in March 1990. The aircraft was later parted out and scrapped.

This former Greenlandair Dash 7 (msn 113) was imported to Canada by Trans Capital Air and registered C-FERO on March 11, 2015. Four years later (to the day) it was registered to Air Tindi on March 11, 2015 which acquired all but two of Trans Capital's Dash 7 fleet. It was photographed on Labour Day through a terminal window parked on the south side of CYTZ with four other inactive Dash 7s.

The aircraft was sold to Greenlandair in 1999 and flew for them until 2015. Trans Capital, and later Air Tindi, put it into storage at Toronto Island airport, still in the full red Greenlandair colour scheme.

Air Atonabee was acquired by Victor Pappalardo in 1984 and renamed City Express. A pair of DHC Dash 7's (including C-GGXS, ex-4X-AHB) from Arkia Israel Airlines launched commuter service between Toronto Island Airport (YTZ), Ottawa (YOW) and Montreal (YUL). City Express ceased operations in Feb. 1991, but C-GGXS went to Pappalardo's Trans Capital Airlines and later flew for the UN. It was one of seven Trans Capital Dash 7s sold to Air Tindi in March 2021. At least five Dash 7s are still parked at YTZ (2 x Trans Capital & 3 x Air Tindi) near the relocated 1939 airport terminal building.

City Express ceased operations in Feb. 1991, but C-GGXS went to Pappalardo's Trans Capital Airlines and later flew for the UN. It was one of seven Trans Capital Dash 7s sold to Air Tindi in March 2021. At least five Dash 7s are still parked at YTZ (2 x Trans Capital & 3 x Air Tindi) near the relocated 1939 airport terminal building.

When City Express shut down in 1991, the airline's parent company moved the aircraft to subsidiary ALS Aero Lease and Sales. In 1994 , it was transferred to Trans Capital Air, another subsidiary. The aircraft is pictured during 1995 operating for Conair Aviation with small Conair titles by the entry door and a British Colombia Forest Service crest on the nose.
