DHC-3 Otter N90575 (msn 302) was delivered new to the US Army as U-1A, 58-1692, in December 1958 and later served in Vietnam. One of two Harold Hanson bought from Stockton, CA in 1974 and restored at Boeing Field. I photographed it a couple times in 1975-1976 at Boeing Field before and after Hanson sold it to Frontier Flying Service in Alaska. In December 1976 it was on amphibious floats parked in a tight spot next to Hanson's hangar. Now flies as DHC-3T, C-GMDG, with Fort Frances Sportsmen Airways at a float base east of Ft. Frances, Ontario. See http://www.dhc-3archive.com/DHC-3_302.html

Sold to Huron Air & Outfitting in May 1984 and operated with them until May 1998 when it was involved in a crash taking off from Machawaian Lake, Ontario. Damaged in a forced landing after the engine failed in September 1971, C-FUJM was tied up in court proceedings on who was responsible for repair of the aircraft for five years. Rebuilt in 1976 and painted in this new color scheme, the Otter was ferried to Vancouver for lease to Tyee Airways, but that lease fell through. It was stored until sold to West Coast Air in January 1977. Later painted in West Coast's full colors (and after that Air BC and Trans-Provincial Airways).

Seen over Lake Spenard, heading towards Lake Hood on a Ketchum Air Service flight. Delivered new to the Union of Burma Air Force in 1961 as UB658. Served with Ketchum for a little over three years from the spring of 1990. Destroyed in an accident at Nikabuna Lake, Alaska, in August 1993. Engine power was lost in the climb out due to fuel starvation. A forced landing was made on a small pond, where the aircraft overran the water into woodland and caught fire.
