In 1960 this Heron was one of those imported to Japan from the large Garuda Indonesia fleet (delivered new in 1954 as PK-GHK). Some were converted by Shin Meiwa with Continental engines, but JA6159 retained the Gypsy Queens and operated for Toa Airlines and then Japan Domestic Airlines after merger in 1964. After use as a ground instructional airframe at Hiroshima, it was placed on display at the Kaizuka Transport Park north of Fukuoka airport in 1968 and remains there along with some railway locomotives
