Delivered to the Whyalla Aero Club in 1964. VH-DER, flown by T. Brougham, finished 2nd in the commercial section of the 1966 Moomba Air Race, behind another Airtourer 100, VH-RVB. The Race was inspired by the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and was organised by the Victorian Branch of the RAeS, Royal Victorian Aero Club, the Department of Civil Aviation, and the Melbourne Moomba Festival Committee. This photo was taken by the pilot of VH-RVB. [#AT43] Photo: Richard J Maclean

This Airtourer started as VH-RVM with Royal Victorian Aero Club. It was re-registered as VH-RUG in 1967, but soon after was again re-registered as VH-SHR. After being removed from the register for 7 years, it returned, re-engined, in October 1986, as an Airtourer 115/A2. [#AT40] Photo: Mike Madden
