It went onto the charter arm Scanair in 1982. In May 1989 she entered the US register as N797AL and was converted to a freighter and operated by Emery Worldwide. WFU an stored at Victorville in 2000. Last noted on 08 Mar 2020. In the background over at cargo are a Boeing 707 and Vickers 953F Merchantman freighters of British Airways Cargo.

Taken from car park 2. Delivered to SAS on 12 May 1972, this is the 556th and last DC-8 built. Still only 6 and a half years old when this photo was taken. It went onto the charter arm Scanair in 1982. In May 1989 she entered the US register as N797AL and was converted to a freighter and operated by Emery Worldwide. WFU an stored at Victorville in 2000. Last noted on 08 Mar 2020. In the background over at cargo are a Boeing 707 and Vickers 953F Merchantman freighters of British Airways Cargo.
