slide taken by the late Norbert Kröpfl. - JY-AEG was one of a pair of Learjets (the other one in the background was JY-AEI), which were leased to Arab Wings and came through Munich on delivery. The airframe is still in existance, used as a technical trainer at Merville, ex F-BXPT, seen 2019.

A few years later, N122M was seen at Kalittas base at Detroit - Willow Run, probably used as a source of spares. The derelict fuselage was seen at Davis Monthan in 2002, and at El Mirage CA in 2004. Finally, the tail section became part of a sculpture of several Learjets - an art project that was displayed even in Europe!

Built in 1966 as N361EJ and cancelled as scrapped, when N23AJ, on 14 September 1992. Interestingly, Executive Jet Aviation (founded in 1964) lives on in the form of NetJets-USA and the flights still use "Execujet" as a radio call-sign.

Built in 1965 and wrecked by ground fire while parked at Damascus, Syria on 5 June 1967. My best friend and I were both apprentices at the time and very naughtily skipped off work to see this on its first visit in April 1966. The Bristol 170 behind still shows signs from when it was EC-ADI with Aviaco. It was registered to Autair in January 1966 and scrapped at Luton in 1968.

If you were using a photocopier at work back then there's a good chance the wrapped reams of paper had the same logo as on this Learjet. It was sold on and eventually ended up in Venezuela to be replaced by a Learjet 35, then a Falcon 50 with the same registration.
