This Mi-8 was originally assigned in 1993 to the Special Forces of the Croatian Army. In September of that year the helicopter was ferried to Bosnia for potential operation there but the arrangement fell through and it continued serving with the Croatian AF until wfu in 2002. It now stands at the main gate of the air base side of Zadar-Zemunik airport.

Shooting air-to-air of helicopters from helicopters is always a challenge, as the slow shutter speeds required to produce a full rotor disc are somewhat incompatible with the usually very bumpy ride, so a compromise

Taken when the airport was Berlin-Schönefeld in East Germany. Delivered to Interflug as DM-SPE in 1980. Reregistered as DDR-SPE in 1981 then to Berliner Spezial Flug as D-HOXE in 1990 and the Estonian Border Guards as ES-PMD in 1996. Preserved in the Border Guard Museum at Valga from 2010.

This Mi-8 was built in August 1976 and served with the NVA as 124 and then, after German re-unification, with the German AF as 9361. From May 1995 it was on display at the Deutsch-Deutsches Museum in Mödlareuth but moved to this site sometime before June 2012.

A V-5 that just returned from a United National deployment in Central African Republic. Its UN markings and registration (UNO-566P) are still visible. Its construction number is not clear, 144M07?. likewise its former identity, this could be SMH-4308.
