The pilots of the F27 fleet of the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) always enjoyed their take-off, directly after rotation they often selected gear-up. And that resulted in some nice photos! Here C-8 is seen just after take-off. The Troopship made its first flight on 6 Oct'60 as PH-FBW and was delivered to the KLu on 28 Dec'60. The aircraft was also used as demo aircraft from 1994 onwards and gave through the years a spectaular show. It was withdrawn from use in Aug'96 and became a gate-guard in late 1997. In late 2003 it became an instructional airframe at Eindhoven.

Seen at East Midland is this Uni-Air F-27 from France. Delivered new to Trans Australia Airlines as VH-TFC on 18 Jun 1959. Sold to Uni Air as F-BYAP on 18 Nov 1977. Leased to Air Inter on 20Nov 1979 and returned to Uni Air in Apr 1981. Leased to Servisair 26 Sep 1988 and registered OO-SVL on 22 Dec 1988. Merged into Flanders Airlines 01 Jan 1990. WFU and stored at Dinard in Feb 1992. Scrapped around 2010.

Delivered to Philips as PH-LIP in 1962. To WDL as D-BAKA in 1975. Leased various operators. Withdrawn from use at Essen in 1997 and scrapped in 1999.

Delivered to Allegheny Airlines as N2704J in 1965. To Air South in 1973. Stored at Marana, AZ in 1975. To Holstenflug as D-BOOM then to Wirtschaftsflug in 1979. To Britt Airways as N381BA in 1982 then to Best Tool and Manufacturing in 1989. and CARA Express Aviation as D-BCEA in 1990. Withdrawn from use at Cologne in 1991 and used as a fire trainer. Scrapped in 2012.

On stand at Zurich Airport. The FH-227 was a license built version of the Fokker F-27 Friendship. Delivered new to Ozark Airlines as N4228 on 12 Jun 1967. Sold to TAT as F-GCPU on 08 Dec 1980. WFU and stored at Dinard Dec 1992. PWFU 11 Jun 1997 and scrapped.

Test reg PH-FCA before delivery to the Netherlands Air Force as C-12 in 1961. Preserved at Eindhoven marked as C-8 from 1996.

Delivered 1970 as CN-CDB to Royal Air Inter. To Alkair OY-CCN 1989, leased to FTG as D-AFTG same year, returned 1991, leased to Air Star Zanzibar 1993. Myanmar XY-AET 1995, destroyed in a landing accident July 24th 1996 at Myeik.
