After the end of the Cold War, US EUCOM reduced its footprint and the 10th MAS was deactivated. 8x C-23As were handed over to the US Army. This 84-0465 was not handed over to the US Army but became a civil plane as N172Z with the US Forest Service in Mar'91. Later reregistered to N188LM with US Bureau of Land Management in Nov'91, to Marian Aviation Corporation in Dec'02, as N330FA with Freedom Air in Ap'04 and then withdrawn at Guam in 2013.

To Avair as EI-BNM in June 1983. To Air Ecosse as G-BIOF in May 1984. Sold to Okada Air as 5N-AOX on 13 September 1985. Back to the UK as G-LEDN with Janes Aviation on 20 January 1989. She later went to Titan Airways and Streamline Aviation where she was reregistered to G-SSWN on 3 March 2000. DBR at Paris CDG on 25 May 2000 when struck by the wing of an MD-83.
