Built as US Navy 33249, a Ventura that went to the Royal Canadian Air Force with serial 2180. Struck off strength in 1950, the aircraft was stored at Vulcan, AB in November 1951. Sold to Universal Trading Corp in 1954, it was acquired by Dee Howard in 1954 (N1212). Converted to a Super Ventura in 1956, it was a precursor of luxury biz-jets that appeared twenty years later. Pictured when owned by television evangelist Rex Humbard's Cathedral of Tomorrow church, it had been re-registered N4005 in September 1967.

Originally built for the US Navy as Lockheed PV-1 BuNo 34964 it was scheduled for transfer to the the RAF as FP681 but passed to the South African Air Force as 6454 . In 1960 it was acquired by Howard Aero and, following conversation to Howard 500 status, was operated by a number of corporate owners. Its ultimate fate is unknown but it is rumoured to have served for the CIA in support of Nicaraguan rebels during the period of the Iran/Contra scandal. The registration was cancelled in April 2013 due to the expiration of its certificate.

The aircraft had been was impounded at SAT by the US Customs Air Support Unit. From April 1969 to December 1971 the aircraft had been owned by the Sealy Mattress Co. of Ohio, and the significance of the registration was that 593 was Sealy company's PO Box Number, and EW were the initials of Ernest Wuliger, the President and CEO. It was last reported stored in Georgia in 1988 and it was deleted from the US register in April 2013.

Built in 1943 as a USAAF C-60A this aircraft served with the Royal Australian Air Force as A67-5 in WWII and post war was civilianised, firstly as VH-GRB, and later VH- OAS. It returned to the USA in 1953 as N4849V and later carried the registrations N667, N1000S and N101S. In 1959 it was converted to Howard 250 standard and was sold to Mexico in 1967 where it was registered XB-SAO. It returned to the US register as N2786Y in December 1982 and flown to Albuquerque, where it was reported as "stored" in October 1986. Pictured when it was flying freight for Soundair, this Howard 500 was originally built as Lockheed Ventura Bu 34903. It was allocated to the Royal Air Force but instead diverted to the South African Air Force as 6488. Stored after a crash for some time, it was sold to Howard Aero in 1959. Re-built and operated civilly, the aircraft was converted to a Howard 500 in 1964. Only with Soundair for a year, the last owner was the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, TX. It was substantially damaged during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Damaged beyond repair at Austin/TX on 10 June 1977 when it ground looped on take-off.

Built for the US Navy as PV-1 Bu.34709, to the RCAF as 2244 in 1943 and N1206 in 1954. Bought by Howard Aero Services and converted to a Super Ventura. To N5034F operated by the Firestone Rubber Company in 1961 and converted to a Howard 400. To N1970H in 1968, N197RD in 1969, N100LR in 1974 and YV-183CP in 1977. Stored at Bogota by 1992 and later transferred to the Colombian Air Force Museum and painted as 'FAC 654'.

Built as a military Lockheed PV-1 Ventura, initially USN 34880, then diverted from an RAF order as FP841 to the SAAF, serving as 6441. Executive conversion carried out by Howard Aero Inc to Howard 500 standard with a new pressurised fuselage and uprated engines. Seen in transit at Prestwick parked in the Main Terminal's old Bay 4. Arrived from Geneva and departed transatlantic, initially for Keflavik.

Built as Lockheed PV-1 GR Mk5 Ventura Bu 34951 and allocated RAF serial FP668 before delivery to the South African Air Force in 1945 as 6506. Sold to Howard Aero of San Antonio Texas in 1959 and converted, initially to a Super Ventura as N74882 and in 1962 to a Howard 500. Registered N239R, N11CP and N11QP before export to Bolivia in March 1985. Withdrawn from use at El Trompillo by 1992 and remained stored there until scrapped in 2006. Lockheed Learstar CP-2046 sits in the background awaiting a similar fate.

After abandoned at Chandler when the airport closed in 2007, this classic Howard 500 gradually deteriorated until becoming a graffiti billboard, eventually vandalized and set on fire.

Ordered by the US Navy as PV-1 48722. Transferred to the RAF as Ventura GR.V JS942 then diverted to the SAAF as 6458. To Howard Aero in San Antonio, TX in 1959, converted to a Super Ventura by 1962 and registered as N130PL. Converted to Howard 500 c/n 500-114 in 1964 and reregistered as N130P. Stored at Chandler-Gila River Memorial by 1987. Still there in 2020 in derelict condition.

Built for USAAF as C-60A 42-56000. Converted to Howard 250 in 1961.
