This Mu-2 came to Canada for Iron Ore of Canada in 1970. Later with Dome Petroleum and Gateway Aviation (whose logo faintly remains on the tail), it's pictured while registered to Klemke & Sons Construction. Exported to the USA as N211RV in December 1985, it was withdrawn from use circa 2009 and the registration cancelled in 2011.
Taken by Margaret Olafson. This aircraft came to Canada new in 1971 and has been operating in Canada's North ever since. The one on the left is likely C-FYDU which is no longer on the Canadian registry.
This 1970 Islander worked in the USA and Puerto Rico until 1978 when Air North bought it. After an accident in 1986, the aircraft was sold to Rocky Mountain Aircraft for parts and the registration cancelled.
