This Skyhawk was built as a TA-4F and delivered to the US Navy as 153500. It was converted to TA-4J, after operational service stored at AMARC with inventory code 3A0614 in September 1991 and then sold to Israel with serial 748 in July 1994. In 2001, the TA-4J was to sold the US based Advanced Training Systems International (ATSI) as N251WL. The unmarked aircraft was delivered with two other surplus IAF A-4s via Malta to the States. The unmarked A-4N Ayit was delivered with two other surplus IAF A-4s via Malta to the USA. They were parked on the static display. Former Libyan Arab Air Force serial LC2288 was delivered to Malta on 19 July 1993 and assigned as registration 9H-AAV with the Malta Air Squadron, later Air Squadron/2nd Regiment. It was reserialled to AS9315 on 1 May 2000. The helicopter saw a period of inactivity between late 2001 and mid-2003 due to lack of spares. It was modified with a new engine and a winch to bring it up to a similar standard to those Alouette IIIs already in Maltese service. AS9315 was withdrawn from use in 2014.
