Airmen shelter from the sun at what was then RAF Heliopolis. K4067 went to fight in World War II. It was damaged by Italian anti-aircraft fire at Metemma, Ethiopia, on January 6, 1941. Wrecked in the ensuing forced landing at Doka, Sudan.

Flown from the UK to India by Neville Stack in company with G-EBKU flown by Bernard Leete. Delhi's Safdarjung (formerly Willingdon) aerodrome did not open until 1928. A photo of the Moths from another angle shows the Safdarjung Tomb, which was a landmark of the Safdarjung aerodrome. G-EBMO was wrecked at Shillong, India, on July 19, 1927 when it struck telegraph wires landing at the polo ground.

No date for this incident but the caption states H1428 came to grief during a night flight. Significantly it was the aircraft in which C.W.A. Scott had his first flying lesson when he joined the RAF in 1922. Scott achieved global fame as the winner of the London-to-Melbourne air race in 1934 flying DH-88 Comet G-ACSS. The Bristol was rebuilt as an army cooperation aircraft, issued a new c/n and shipped to India for service on the North-West Frontier.

Flown by Edward Schlee and Billy Brock on an attempted round-the-world flight. Called off at Tokyo over concerns crossing the Pacific was too dangerous. NC857 shipped back to the US. Now displayed at the Ford Museum at Detroit.

Sakhakot airstrip was a camp site where personnel slept in tents.

In the late 1930s Misr built up a network of services across the Middle East from its base in Cairo using a fleet of DH86 Expresses and DH89 Rapides.

Sent to what was then British India for tropical trials. Damaged in a collision with a large bird in 1931. Sent to RAF Lahore where it was destroyed in a hangar fire on March 31, 1933. RAF Lahore passed to the fledgling Pakistan air force on independence in 1947. Adjoins the current international airport.

Ex G-ABBS. Fate not recorded.

Used in the aerial evacuation of Kabul December 1928-February 1929. 300 people were flown to safety in J7922 and a fleet of DH.9As.

Habbaniyah was known as RAF Dhibban at the time. Still in use as a military base. YI-ABC recorded as "demolished" in December 1938.
