The Canadian Air Force acquired six Bristol Freighters during 1951 - 57. Based in Europe, the aircraft provided heavy transport among Canada's four NATO bases in France and Germany. The type was retired in 1967 and Wardair bought the four remaining aircraft including spares. CF-WAE (former RCAF 9699) was sold in 1975 and leased to Norcanair. It was donated to the Western Canada Aviation Museum in 1983 and is pictured outside the renamed Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.

Kelowna Flightcraft added this DC-3 to their fleet in January 1990 for freight work on the west coast. It was normally dedicated to the Vancouver - Nanaimo Purolator courier run. On the evening of January 13, 1999, the connecting Purolater 727 was delayed inbound to Vancouver and the night's routing for the DC-3 changed to Vancouver - Victoria - Nanaimo. While flying to Victoria, the aircraft struck trees passing over Mayne Island trying to maintain VFR below clouds and crashed in a small valley.

Delivered to Executive Airlines in March 1968, this Twin Otter soon went to AirWest as CF-AWC in 1971. Re-named Air BC at the end of 1980, the aircraft flew commuter services for CP Air (1983 - 87) and Air Canada (1987 - 89) when it was sold to North Cariboo Air in March 1989. First leased to Liard Air (May and June 2001), the airline bought the Twin Otter in December 2001 and new colors featured a view on the tail of Liard Air's Beaver flying over the Northern Rockies Lodge at Muncho Lake BC. Sadly, the aircraft crashed on take-off at Muncho Lakes' gravel strip on July 8, 2007 and burned.
