Still in the basic colours of previous Canadian owner Direquair with elements of the titles remaining visible. First flew as CF-JZW in 1957. Became N999R in 1958. Returned to Canada from North Africa as CF-ZVQ in 1971. Joined Direquair Inc, of Chibougamau, Quebec in 1975. Ferried to Alaska as N5359J in 1984. Reregistered as N900L with Newhalen Lodge, Anchorage, in October 1997.

Departing from Runway 31 at Prestwick after arriving the previous day as VDA4106. Impounded at Toronto Pearson Airport, Canada, hours after landing on 27 February 2022 as a result of sanctions imposed on Russia following its invasion of Ukraine. Subsequently formally seized by the Canadian Government as a Russian resource for redistribution to the benefit of Ukraine. By early 2024, legal action had been put in train by Volga-Dnepr to try to recover the aircraft still on the ground at Toronto.
