Bought by shipbuilder Henry Kaiser in 1943, the Fleetwings company in Bristol, Pennsylvania produced the Kaiser-Fleetwings BTK dive and torpedo bomber and also this two-seat helicopter. The sole example to be flown was tested from a lake in a park in Bristol in 1944 and 1945. Reportedly designed for anti-submarine work from the decks of Liberty cargo ships, the XH-10 was never tested by the military. XH-10 was a company designation, with the name Twirley Bird supposedly also given to the type.

The P-1H was a 1932 variant of the Parks P-1/P-2, reverting to the P-1 designation perhaps because it was an entry-level model with a 100-hp Kinner K-5 radial. Dean Hammond of Ann Arbor, Michigan purchased the rights from the bankrupt Detroit Aircraft holding, and the designation officially changed to Hammond 100 as of January 1933. It's cool to find out the location of an old photo. A reverse image search for the church tower gave poor results, but the roof of the building gives the last four letters of the city name. Saarbrücken's first airport was situated in a bend of the River Saar near the church of St Arnual. Wikipedia notes that DLH maintained unprofitable services to the capital of the disputed Saarland for political reasons, and that small planes were therefore used like the He 70G Blitz Buntspecht (spotted woodpecker).

The Fa 223 Drache (dragon) was a scaled-up Fw 61. The prototype D-OCEB first flew untethered on 3 August 1940. It crashed on 5 February 1941 due to engine failure at low altitude. The type was the world's first helicopter to be ordered into production in December 1942, just before the Sikorsky R-4, but Allied air raids did a lot of damage and only some eleven Fa 223s were flown before war's end. The type could carry some four passengers, a much heavier load than other early helicopters.
