In airline service with Northwest Airlines 1959 - 1972, this Electra was one of three bought by Nordair. Two (CF-NAY and CF-NAZ) were modified for ice reconnaissance. Nordair was bought by CP Air in 1986 and became one of the airlines that merged to form Canadian Airlines in 1987. The ice reconnaissance Electras were retired by 1990 and this one was last with Legion Express as N188LE. The aircraft was broken up at Miami Opa Locka and the registration cancelled in 2017.

A Lockheed-Vega built B-17 that rolled off the production line in July 1945. Delivered but stored and not put into service, the aircraft was instead transferred to the US Coast Guard as bu 77255 with 15 other B-17s in 1946. Struck off strength in 1959, it went via Ace Smelting Inc to Fairchild Aerial Surveys (1959 - 65), Biegert Bros. (1965 - 66) as a sprayer and Aircraft Specialties (1966 - 81) for air tanker conversion. Global Air operated the tanker (1981 - 86) before it was acquired by the Yankee Air Museum. There it was rebuilt to near WWII condition and is a current flying artifact.

A salute from Vancouver International Airport Aircraft Fire & Rescue for Zip Air's final flight arriving from Whitehorse, YT. It would mark the end of Air Canada's discount airline experiment. Rather than re-equip with a more fuel efficient type, the flying was returned to the mainline or curtailed.

The last Argus built by Canadair is pictured out back of the National Aeronautical Collection hangar (now Canada Aviation and Space Museum). The last operational Argus flight was flown November 10, 1980 and the type retired. This aircraft made the last flight of any Argus on February 10, 1982 when it was delivered to the Museum for display. Stored outside until moved into the museum's new hangar in 2005, it has undergone some restoration to repair the damage done by weather. The aircraft is back outside, partially cocooned at the time of uploading.

Arriving in Canada in 1973 with Associated Helicopters, this Bell was registered to Vancouver Island Helicopters January 21,1985. While fire fighting on contract in Washington State during September 1988, the helicopter refueled at remote helipad near Ential, WA but did not arrive at the work site. Wreckage was found on a steep mountain slope showing evidence of an in-flight main rotor mast fracture and aircraft break-up;

Former SE-DBO and OY-KIC was with SAS Scandinavian Airlines System 1969 - 95, save for a one year least to Nordic East Airlink in 1991. It was the last of the ten DC-9-21s (short body of the DC-9-10 and with longer slatted wings of the DC-9-32) built. Leased by Spirit Airlines, Valujet and Allegiant Air registered N127NK until stored at Victorville, CA in January 2003. Saved from the scrapper in 2003, the aircraft was made flyable again and certified for skydiving. It was put into service by Skydive Perris in 2006, but retired in 2013. It's pictured slowly being restored to flight.

Delivered to the Tanzanian Air Force in May 1966, this Otter actually went to Camp Borden, ON where the RCAF used it to train Tanzanian ground personnel. Crated for shipment to Tanzania by December 1969, the aircraft was instead returned to DHC for disposal. Sold to Athabaska Airways in 1971, the Otter is pictured shortly after being registered to Contact Charters on April 3, 1992. To Deh Cho Air in 1994, the aircraft crashed September 26, 1997 landing on a river. The rebuild in 1999 included a Valsan Turbine conversion, it is operated by K2 Aviation in Alaska at the time of uploading.

This first Canadair Silverstar Mk.3 was also the first Canadair produced T-33. Taken on strength December 22, 1952, it was withdrawn and stored at Lethbridge, AB in March 1964. Ear marked for a future museum, the trainer was sold to Northwest Industries and displayed at Edmonton's downtown municipal airport. In April 1983 the aircraft was airlifted by Chinook helicopter and displayed next to NWI's hangar at Edmonton International Airport. Later mounted on a pedestal, it was moved to the Reynolds-Alberta Museum in 2009 and stored.

Imperial Oil's Air Transport division took delivery of this Beaver on April 6, 1950. First registered CF-IOB, it was re-registered CF-HEP in 1953 and sold to Pacific Western Airlines in December 1956. Flying with smaller operators from 1960, it moved to Sioux Lookout in 1986, first with Slate Falls Airways. The aircraft was registered to Bamaji Air in June 2003. Used seasonally, the registration lapsed in 2006 and the aircraft is pictured out of service. Put back on the register with a new engine and propeller in September 2021, it's current with Bamaji Air again at the time of uploading.
