Many older airliners in the late 70's and 80's were not capable of CAT II or III approaches and were often involved in weather diversions during the winter months, seen here on such an occasion.

LOT Tu134 SP-LHE, tail and engines missing. Parked infront of the main entry to the Airpark just outside Zruc. This was the only original LOT Tu134 I missed as a young spotter in the early 90s. Completed the batch after 30 years !

OK-DFI was delivered to CSA in July 73 and flew with the airline until withdrawn in January '92 and then scrapped at Prague (PRG) in October 1993. The Cockpit has been at Zruč for some time but this fuselage section was previously used as a trainer at the police shooting range near Rokycany. The two parts that had been separated for almost 20 years have now been ... somewhat rejoined. The fuselage has been seriously cleaned or painted over the summer if you compare with the picture taken in May 2021. OK-DFI can be read ojf from the damaged nosewheel door if you crawl under the cockpitsection.

Operating VIP flights for Jet Air Group

Delivered to Aeroflot's Lithuanian department as CCCP-65091in January 1978. After the fall of the Soviet Union it went to Lithuanian Airlines as LY-ABG Tin september 1991. Although purchased by Orient Avia and with RA-65091 reserved, it was probably never delivered.Orient Avia filed for bankruptcy in July 1997. The Tu-134 became ELK Airways' flying billboard in August 1997 as ES-LTA. Stored at Tallinn-Ülemiste from 2001, it was moved to the Eesti Lennundusmuuseum outside Tartu in July 2006.
