The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum publicly revealed their 72-foot wingspan reproduction of the 1914 Curtiss flying boat "America" at the Museum's annual seaplane fly in on Lake Keuka in Hammondsport, in New York's Finger Lakes region. The aircraft water taxied before the crowds in 2007 but did not fly because the two 100 hp special OXX6 engines sent out for overhaul were not ready. The replica flew for the first time at the 2008 fly in. The original America was built to compete for a $50,000 prize offered by the London Daily Mail for the first transatlantic crossing by a flying machine.

Bombardier used this Dash 8-202 as a employee shuttle between its facilities in Montreal (CYUL) and Downsview between about 1999 and 2012 (?) when it was replaced by a Dash 8-400. This aircraft was originally built for Mesa Airlines but never delivered. It was repainted in these colours when the Dash 8 was rebranded the "Q Series" to highlight the new active noise and vibration system (NVS) installed on new aircraft to reduce interior cabin noise. Bombardier also painted a Q300 (green) and Q400 (blue) in similar markings. It was sold to Sierra Nevada Corp. in 2012 and now flies for the USAF.
