The MH-47 Special Operations Chinook is the primary heavy lift transport helicopter for the US Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment "Nightstalkers". The MH-47G differs from its CH-47 sister models by its black color scheme and its incorporation of combat systems and a refueling probe designed to make the helicopter more survivable on missions deep in enemy territory (and during nighttime).

The California Aviation Classification Repair Depot (AVCRAD) used this C-7A Caribou as a transport aircraft to get the necessary spare parts for Army helicopter to the depot. It was seen in full back light at the Army depot at Fresno, but modern technology made (photoshop) it possible to make a quite okay digital picture out of it. The Caribou was sold to Costa Rica as MSP002 in the early ninetees. It was also reported as TI-MSB at San Jose in April 1993. By late 2014 the C-7A was withdrawn from use and seen at Liberia airport in Costa Rica.

This white/orange Huey was seen at the California Army National Guard platform. The helicopter is wearing a seal of the ArNG but its unit remains unclear to me.

When the 194th Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the California Air National Guard at Fresno was in transition from F-4D to F-16A/B, four F-4Ds of the 179th Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the Minnesota ANG were deployed to Fresno, to temporary relieve the new Falcon squadron with the Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) task. One of the F-4Ds was still in its great original livery. It is seen here armed with live AIM-9 Sidewinders, ready for take-off at any moment.

One of the first F-16s of the 194th Fighter Interceptor Squadron "Griffins" in full "colour". The aircraft was used as a back ground during a farewell ceremony in which the 194th FIS F-4Ds were phased out. This 80-0582 was sold to the Royal Jordanian Air Force and delivered on 3 March 1998. Unfortunately, it crashed during a training exercise on 20 April 2008.

A Strike Fighter Squadron ((VFA) FORTY ONE "Black Aces" Super Hornet seen manoeuvring on board the USS Nimitz (CVN-68). The type saw for its maiden operational deployment while embarked on board the Nimitz. The squadron deployed with sister squadron VFA-14 Tophatter (an F/A-18E is seen in the back ground) within Carrier air Wing ELEVEN to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

A Strike Fighter Squadron ((VFA) FORTY ONE "Black Aces" Super Hornet seen on board the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) during the first joint F/A-18E and F deployment (the Es saw earlier their first deployment as a sole squadron). The Nimitz and its Carrier air Wing ELEVEN were deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, so the brand-new two-seat aircraft also saw their first combat deployment in these days.

Retracting gear quickly, stay low, build-up speed, and at the end of the runway make an unexpected move so the enemy is giving a tough time in aiming weapons on this fully loaded Falcon Sometimes the pilot decides to go straight ahead, sometimes they make a low level left or right turn, but they rarely go ballistic as it was then too easy for a Taliban with a MANPADS or AAA to make a lock. This heavily armed Falcon banked right.

FMS serial 92-0406 was once destined for Pakistan as 95-626, but due to embargoes, the dual seat aircraft was placed in storage at AMARC as AA FG0270 on 1 November 1994. In December 1998 it was released from storage and converted to adversary aircraft.

A three-tone grey F-16A, this aircraft was once destined for the Pakistan Air Force (serial 92-735), but due to embargoes against the Asian country, the brand-new aircraft was placed in storage at AMARC as AA FG0010 on 23 June 1993. Late 1998 the US Navy showed interest in stored Pakistani Falcons as a replacement for their worn-out F-16Ns. 92-0404 became 920404 and started a successful career as an adversary aircraft in the States.
