Converted to a freighter in September 1997, the aircraft was eventually sold to MK Airlines November 7, 2007. Registered G-MKHA it was stored at Cotswold Airport near Kemble, UK in August 2009 as MK Airlines ran into money problems. It was later broken up.

It was also the last to use the P&W TF-30 engine of the Navy's A-7As; the Air Force opting for a more powerful licensed built Rolls Royce Spey. Used for type testing and on-going development flying at Edwards, it was retired in 1998. The DIGITAC (digital tactical aircraft control) titles were applied for the first totally fiber optic-controlled flight using a single-fiber flight-control system on March 24, 1982.

Leased by Cityjet as EI-CNQ from 1997 to 2011, the aircraft was last placed with SKYJET Airlines in the Philippines as RP-C5525 in March 2013. The jetliner over-ran the runway at Balesin Airstrip October 18, 2013 with the nose coming to rest in the sea.
