Interesting detail of air-to-ground shot. The former Ghana Air Force Caribous were owned by trader Joseph Masin and arrived here for overhaul in 1974. Photo proves the tie-up G-405 to N90570 for c/n 56. Both frames were eventually scrapped here, N90570 after an accident in October 1981, most probably on the ground. One of the three the other two were A4-225 and A4-231 were on the delivery flight from Canada. They came the long way via Sri Lanka and the Indian Ocean. All had massive fuel tanks in the cargo bay.

This 1963 Caribou was originally with the Kuwait Air Force. Brought back to Canada in 1977, it's pictured with Kelowna Flightcraft, operating the freighter 1980 - 84. Air North and Kenn Borek Air later flew the aircraft before Newcal Aviation bought it in 1992, stored at Gimli, MB and slated for turbine conversion. Crash of the prototype turbine conversion in August 1992 saw it go to Air Tindi in 1993 before sold to the USA as N112CH in 1997. Based at New Smyrna Beach, FL with Vintage Props and Jets, the aircraft was damaged by high winds in 2001. It became derelict and was later broken up.

Written off in a landing accident at Port Alsworth AK on 29 Aug 2001.

Ex Abu Dhabi Army Air Wing 304. Last registered to New Cal Aviation and arrived at Luqa airport in July 1984 where it remained. The aircraft was dismantled in 1994 and the fuselage transferred to the International Safety Training Centre compound. It later moved to Extreme Paintball at Ta Qali.

The RAAF experimented with Caribou camouflage in the mid 1980s. This is one of those not adopted, with medium green and tan upper surfaces and black undersides.

With Alaska Air Service Sep 77 to Jul 79. Registered to private individuals Jul 79 and again Sep 80. To Iroc & Air Parts Inc Jan 81. Registered to Woods Air Fuel (Alaska) Apr 83. Written off when it crashed 20 Mar 86 whilst on final approach to Lime Village AK. The narrative from ASN is very short and simply states that the aircraft pitched up, rolled left, crashed into trees and caught fire.

Painted white for service with the United Nations in Kashmir. Crashed on landing at Camden, NSW, on July 4, 1986 and used as training aid for fire fighters (fuselage only).

Served with UNMOGIP Kashmir 1975-1978.

This aircraft was ex UA Army 63-9754. Seen stored at Tucson when this photo was taken. It was owned by a company called JM Classics at the time. Later it was sold to Greatland Air Cargo and damaged beyond repair in 2001 at Port Alsworth Alaska.

Registration cancelled in 2013

Stored at Cuatro Vientos since 1991. It was 372-09 and 37-09 when in use with Spanish Air Force. Note Aerofan titles on the nose.

Former JW9003 of the Tanzania Air Force, with "003" still visible on the rear fuselage. Was registered as N3262W in August 1982, but this registration was never applied to the aircraft.
