Pushing back off stand at terminal 2 as see from the Queens Building viewing deck. Delivered new to American Flyers Airlines as N12826 on 01 Apr 1968. Sold to Icelandair as TF-FIA on 18 May 1971 and reregistered to TF-FLG on 01 Oct 1979. To UPS as N940UP Oct 1990. WFU at Roswell, NM by Aug 2007. Registration cancelled on 11 Jul 2008 and the aircraft has been scrapped.

This aircraft was sent on this date to receive the new colour scheme and they left in the newly painted TF-ICC.

Delivered new in January 1998, and still current with Icelandair in January 2024.

First flight March 30th 1965, deliv new to SAS, their 1st DC-8-55 on April 27th 1965 as SE-DBD "Folke Viking". In June 1970 SE-DBD was transfrd to Scanair. October 1979 N721UA, and leased to TAE as EC-DIH in november 1979. Sept 16th 1980 N916R ONA, May 14th 1982 TF-FLB Icelandair (leased from ONA in basic ONA colours). January 15th 1986 TF-FLB Icelandair, 1987 TF-FLB repainted to FI colours and named "Sudurfari". 02-1988 5N-AWE Kabo Air, converted to freighter. Later 6N-OCM, 5N-MKE, 9G-MKE, 9T-TDA, 9Q-CAQ and 9T-TCN. wfu at Kinshasa 2018. Seen repainted at gate. Shot through Terminal window

FI577 is pictured waiting for the pushbak tug before departing back to Reykjavik (KEF). This was Icelandair's inaugural service to LOWI.
