N6-770 caught in the transition from its Royal Navy serial of XG770 to its Australian serial of N6-770. The Australian Navy Fleet Air Arm had since its inception kept the RN serials with which its largely British acquisitions were delivered. This was despite aircraft being allowed an "N" prefix. But the switch to US aircraft in the form of A-4 and S-2s led to a late adoption of Australia serials on the some of the surviving Sea Venoms and Sea Vampires. They were all gone by 1973. -770 was sold but never left Nowra, and is now displayed as XG766 at the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

'Taipan 2', one of a pair of RAN Squirrels that displayed at the Australian International Airshow. Originally delivered to the RAAF as A22-023 on 27 November 1984, this helo was assigned to the ADF Helicopter School at RAAF Fairbairn, Canberra. It was transferred to the RAN in October 2000, still in its original white and blue scheme. It's since adopted this more 'warry' grey scheme.

This was one of two RAN 723 Squadron A-109s that had just arrived at Essendon to operate in support of the 'Black Saturday' bushfire-fighting operations. It wears a 'summer uniform' white scheme (the RAN's other two are black and grey). This helo originally operated as an EMS aircraft, based in the French city of Laon from May 2002 and using the temporary Italian rego I-LAON. It was later re-registered F-GLEI. It came to Australia with the temporary registration VH-NPX before being leased to the RAN.

XA101 seen here in the graveyard at Bankstown dismantled for transportation. It was sold for $200 to the Camden Museum Aviation Museum. The museum still owns it but the collection is no longer open to the public. In the photo XA101 has been stripped of its Australian navy markings, exposing an earlier code. At the time of retirement in 1968, XA101 was NW-806. It was 873 when it arrived in Australia in 1959, transferred from the Royal Navy which acquired it in 1953.
